The primary responsibility of this department is to enhance the vision of quality and distinction in the church by maintaining law and order during all services. The Ushers are responsible for helping to provide a welcoming and orderly environment during all worship services. They are to meet, greet and seat members and visitors as they enter the sanctuary. Ushers are expected to welcome new comers (at first attendance) within the church, distribute information leaflets, offering envelopes, and other materials as required and also oversee collection of offerings.
This department performs the role of:
Organizing health related seminars, talks, programmes etc to promote the healthy living of members of the church.
Providing medical advisory services to members of the Church
Coordinating medical outreaches organized by the Church
Representing the Church on health related programmes and events organized by the church and requiring the involvement of the Church.
This department coordinates all logistics for all services and special events. Members of this department are expected to provide high levels of service to all members and visitors, especially during special program events and conferences. They are in charge of the welfare of guest ministers, from arrival to departure. They can also be given extra duties at any time, at the discretion of the Pastor. They also ensure that issues that may potentially cause a rift or crisis in the church are swiftly brought under control before it escalates. This department also takes charge of the social aspect of entertainment for church members including provision of refreshments and snacks for pastors, ministers, and guests as the need arises. The department will also provide snacks and celebration cakes on Thanksgiving Sundays, which is every last Sunday of the month to celebrate members born in a particular month.
The Music Department consists of singers and instrumentalists and is an integral part of the Church. The department enhances the vision of the church through the praise and worship of God through music and musical activities. The department encourages personal and corporate praise, adoration and celebration of God at all times by leading others into His divine presence through thanksgiving, praise and worship.
The primary role of this department is to win souls for Christ. Soul winners are trained through the Word of God to become Fishers of Men. Evangelism is said to be the heartbeat of God, and it is the great commission and the Church has the obligation to carry out this mandate. In order to achieve this, this department will develop realistic strategies to win souls.
The goal of this department is to enhance the parish vision of quality and distinction. This group is tasked with conducting weekly/regular prayers for all issues that concern the church and the members. This department is also tasked with receiving church-wide prayer requests and interceding on them.
The primary role of this department is to enhance the vision of the church to become Christ-like through the teaching of fundamental Christian principles. This department will be made up of trained, educated and informed workers who regularly assist the Pastors to educate the Church spiritually and morally. This department comprises the Sunday School Unit, The Believers Class/Baptismal Class and the Workers-in-Training Class.
The function of this department is to facilitate teachings and provision of educational programs and activities that would enhance the spiritual growth of our children as the Lord has explicitly instructed in (Proverbs 22:6). Thus, the department takes it upon itself to bring up the children in the way that they should go (the way of the Lord).
This group is tasked with the responsibility of performing all welcoming formalities for new comers. The group is also responsible for following-up and encouraging new members as well as old members.
This department consists of a group of vibrant young adults and singles and the Head of Department will report directly to the Senior Pastor. The primary function of this department is to help develop young people from every nation to be touched by the Kingdom of God, and to grow up to become God fearing adults. The Department disciples and develops Christ-like characters in Youth by laying the foundation to a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus through prayer and impartation of biblical knowledge.
The Multi-media department is responsible for maintenance of technical equipment and media coverage of the church activities. The department is the focal point for audio, video and photography responsibilities in the church. This department is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that all public address systems at the venue of church events are working all the time.
This department handles the transportation of guest ministers as well as the provision of transportation for members of the church and visitors alike.
The sanctuary department is responsible for making sure the church premises and facilities are clean, usable and presentable at all times. The team will work behind the scenes to ensure that the environment is always clean and free of contamination at all times. They will among other things see to the arrangement of the chairs and other bits and pieces needed for every service. They are also expected to clean the church premises before leaving for home.
This department is tasked with the responsibility of carrying out necessary repairs and overall maintenance of church premises/ building and equipment.
This department will be overseen by the church Secretariat. This department’s duty is to ensure that the church funds are properly and effectively managed. This team will be in charge of the church finances, bank reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, financial statement analysis, financial compliance, receipts and expenses. All revenue that comes into the church including donations in form of tithes, offerings and giving of various types, which must be properly collated and accounted for and paid into the church’s bank account. The treasury department is regularly inspected by both internal and external auditors, to ensure proper accountability.
This department will be made up of individuals who are trained to ensure and maintain security of lives and properties within the church premises. Members of this department will protect individual church member’s properties as well as that of the church during all church activities.
The primary task of this department is to beautify and decorate the Church. They will among other things decorate the altar, other parts of the church and change such decorations from time to time and afer each service.
The primary purpose of this department is to ensure that members become self reliant through skill acquisition and as such, this department will oversee the training of members interested in learning vocational skills such as tailoring, hair dressing, shoe making among others.
This is the department that organizes welfare and harnesses all available resources within the church to provide for the needy in the Church.
This department will also be overseen by the church Secretariat. The department is in charge of the printing and distribution of flyers, bulletins and magazines prepared by the parish.
This Department will support the structure of the family and prevent it from crumbling through counselling and mediation where necessary. This department will also prepare intending couples who are engaged before their wedding day and beyond. They will provide guidance prayerfully through courtship, and pray with them towards the success of their wedding. The ministry will continue to monitor and support young couples until full maturity in marriage.
This department is responsible for the Sunday school and weekly Bible teaching programmes of the church. They are expected to provide teaching manuals and organize all Bible teaching and training programs, including Bible courses and seminars. This department will be headed by a minister-in-charge, who will work closely with the set man of God.
The primary role of this department is to minister the word of God through drama with the aim of winning souls and restoring backsliders to Christ. Their presentations will carry out messages fashioned after the theme of the month or the theme for the monthly night vigil as necessary. The group will meet once a week, but rehearsals may be more frequent when there is an upcoming event.
This is the department that meets the needs of the church in the area of refreshments, food and drinks at church events after Sunday services.
This department is responsible for the propagation of the gospel through various publications and publicizing of the activities of the church. The vision of the Publicity Department will be to positively touch the lives of the people and transform them by the exposition of the Word of Life. Publicity materials should be in the form of news.
This department will be made up of vibrant deliverance ministers who has the responsibility to conduct deliverance for individuals requiring this service.
The goal of this fellowship is to provide educational programs and activities for men to grow spiritually. The Men’s fellowship equips the great army of God by training men to possess the land and also by developing strong friendships and accountability among the men of the parish through regular gatherings and group activities. The goal is to build the character of Jesus Christ into every man in the parish. The Head of this department reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
The goal of this fellowship is to enhance the vision of the church by providing educational programs and activities for women to grow spiritually. This fellowship consists of a group of married women that empower each other and aim to be the virtuous woman God intended for them to be. Through the women’s fellowship, the women are united and have fellowships that encourage women to develop spirit, soul and body in the character of Christ.
